Virgo Season

Star gazing into the transition to fall for the end times...

Welcome to the new end times ~ I’m changing the format of how I write these channelings each zodiacal season, putting away the tarot cards to receive insights into the coming energetic weather directly from the planetary beings themselves. Leo season brought a lot of movement and changes personally, so my apologies for missing this last month and lets be real, Leo is my 12th house so writing about the energies of it is a little lost on me at the same time ; ) Also, does Leo really need any more attention than it already has? I welcome feedback from native Leos.

Welp, we kick off Virgo season with its ruling planet Mercury turning retrograde on the very day the Sun has ingressed into the mutable Earth sign. Stationing at 21 degrees Mercury, it will make its way back to 8 degrees of Virgo, turning direct on this degree September 15th. While the energy of Virgo brings great powers of discernment in the microcosmic realm, this is even more potent these next few weeks as the messenger of the gods retreads this territory. Themes around health and illness, service and martyrdom, skills and the consciousness behind their implementation are potentially being illuminated during this time. Look at your natal chart to further understand deeper layers of what this period of review is bringing to awareness depending upon what house Virgo resides in.

We also enter Virgo season with a separating square between Venus moving retrograde in the fixed Fire of Leo and Jupiter over in the fixed Earth sign of Taurus. Venus and Jupiter tend to bring us the finer things in life of our heart’s desires, along with deepening wisdom in natural law, This is the second of three total squares between these two gift bearing planets, the first square happened around June 11. Thinking back to that period of time 2.5 months ago, were there any events that occurred that have had another layer of the onion peeled away these past few days?

Mars crosses into Libra August 27, activating opportunities to soften ones trigger response to things deemed unjust in our relational spheres, personal and collective. When Mars is in its opposing home sign of Aries these immediate flares of passion and emotions are expected as Aries rules the head, hence the term “hot-headed”, but when it enters the domain of Venus ruled Libra, taking a breath (air sign) and really weighing the options for how one responds to get the most effective outcome is what is called for. Libra and Venus are all about the harmonization of relationships. Overt warrior tactics are not on the menu, at least until mid-October when Mars enters its other home of Scorpio, then the tactics will change to a more penetrating and subversive strategy.

August 30 brings the 2nd Full Moon this month, we have now been dropped into the consciousness expanding waters of Pisces. Conjunct a retrograde Saturn, there could be some karmic heaviness that weighs on ones soul, especially in the few days leading up to the exact Sun - Moon opposition. The Sun being in sharp and discerning Virgo supports us to separate out the threads of our personal responsibility to evolve emotionally and receive some deeper insights into what this maturation process entails for us. At the same time in the days surrounding this Full Moon we have Venus reaching her station degree at 12 degrees of Leo. She will be sitting pretty on this point for about 12 days, so even though she technically turns direct on September 3rd, she won’t begin her journey forward until about September 10. I imagine Venus in Leo enjoys sitting in front of a mirror admiring the many facets of her own beauty, her glyph is a hand mirror after all. While she is standing still in the sign of the lioness, take some time to fluff your own feathers a bit, taking into your heart the essence of what makes you, you and reveling in the radiance that is emitted from your soul when this true essence can shine. Through this transformation of Venus that began at the summer solstice consider how you have been in a refinement process of the heart, as the shields that have been built up over ones life are dissolving to reveal ones truer essence and how you can then integrate this into bringing your creativity and vital energy out to the world in new and powerful ways.

September 6 is the halfway point of the Mercury retrograde journey when it makes its inferior conjunction to the Sun at 13 degrees of Virgo. Here Mercury receives a full immersion in the vitalizing rays of the Great Luminary, I’d expect the few days preceding and proceeding this solar bath to feel quite liminal. Allow this gift of touching into the in-between worlds to permeate your body and mind (especially). Try to enjoy the not knowing. Spend this time feeling the real Earth, do projects that require more of your hands and intuition than your intellect and outer order. Adding to this Earth energy raining down upon us is a harmonizing trine between the Sun in Virgo and Jupiter in Taurus on September 8. Whatever you put your focus on that has to do with creating things of beauty and value will have a well rooted foundation to grow from. Let Earth be your guide in this process.

September 14 brings the New Moon in Virgo at 21 degrees, another activation of this degree point where Mercury turned retrograde a few weeks prior. If you have any planets here or in aspected signs, consider the golden thread that is tying these dates together in your personal story. This New Moon is also in a trine to the great awakener, Uranus, which will be at 22 degrees of Taurus at this time. Considering that this moon is ruled by Mercury and Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, I would expect some powerfully realigning messages to be received around this day. Uranus is the lightning bolt that comes out of left field, so expect the unexpected, keep your grounding and act accordingly. The very next day Mercury turns direct, but again it will be sitting on that 8th degree of Virgo for a few days, so taking action upon what was seeded on the New Moon may require a little more patience until around September 20 when it starts to chug along again.

Venus completes her third and final square to Jupiter September 17. An expansion and deep gnosis of what the two benefic planets have been conspiring upon since June may land, possibly bringing quite physical gifts to bear. Think back to the dates around June 23 and August 22 when she made her initial squares to Jupiter, about what was brought up for you at these times.

We end this season with Mars and Venus being in a sextile dance that takes us on into Libra season. This dance really began around the 12th-ish of September but gets closer and closer around September 19. Venus is in the superior position here as she is overcoming Mars in space, and he is in her territory of Libra. These newly aligned values that we are now integrating in our hearts as the Venus retrograde portal nears its end are now being called up for expression in our relationships. Bold, creative ideas and new desires and passions may flow more easily in this window of time. In the midst of this the Sun is in opposition to dreamy Neptune on the 19th. A more objective perception of what our biggest dreams hold may come to light. Another veil of illusion that the collective has held may fall to the Earth for composting. Let the rays of illumination burn through these illusory waves of consciousness and allow the pragmatic, discerning nature of Virgo to do its magic these last few days of Virgo season. If it doesn’t serve a practical and grounded purpose in your life anymore, let it go, without the emotional hooks and attachments that only aim to keep one wrapped in these delusions.
